Every year we are told the same thing, "Christmas is a time for giving" but to a kid who likes presents this makes no sense whatsoever. ^_~
I only learned this principle when we started going to the orang Asli villages. To give to those who can't return the favor.
Giving without expecting anything in return...that's REALLY giving.
Giving and Getting
Reborn!
Feeling salty?
Do you ever realize that after eating something salty you need a drink?
In Matthew 5:13 we are called the salt of the earth...what does that mean? did we change from being a human to a condiment?
No, it means that we are to make the people around us thirsty for what we have. And what do we have???
WE HAVE JESUS!!!
(whoohoo!)
What kind of message are we sending out to the people around us?
What do they see when we are in public?
Do they just see a normal looking person or do they see something in you that makes you full of life, freedom, favor and wholeness?
Don't be another face in the crowd,
Be salty for Christ!

Praise you in this storm
~I was sure by now,God, that You would have reached down and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
~as the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives and takes away.
~ And I'll praise you in this storm and
I will lift my hands for You are who
You are no matter where I am
~and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
~I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
~my strength is almost gone
how can I carry on
if I can't find You
~and as the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
who gives and takes away
~I lift my eyes onto the hills where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes onto the hills where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
~And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
